Wa alaikum as salam Yamina
Gesundheit, Verstand, Jugend, Leben.....

Çoğu zaman, bizim 'normal' görünmemizi sağlayan her şeyin Allah'ın niğmetleri olduğunu unutuyoruz.
Her şey gönlünce olsun

Yamina

Dear Nelba

We live in such times where along with the father the mother has to work, too. They don‘t have enough time for their kids. But even if we can‘t spent much time with our kids, we need to spend quality time with them. Some parents think that the more material things they can give their kids the better parents they are. But kids need more the non-material things.
Sometimes, when I see kids who misbehave and try to pressure their parents into buying them something in the shops, I think that my son might have physical problems but we are happy with little things. Some children, who have not been raised well, and their families are not happy even though they don‘t lack anything.

Like you wrote, I also dislike the word ”disabled“. We say about our kids that they are ”special“. What makes them disabled is the envirionment with hurdles: pavements, public transportation, stairs that are not suitable for physically challenged people; lack of sound signals for the visually impaired, and most of all insensitive people…
I want to thank my sister, Nergiz, who translates my writings and comments and, thus, helps me to communicate with you.
I wish you success in your work.

Best wishes

The poem is so sad :( It makes me wonder if my mother has the same feelings about my little sister.

Al hamdulellah your son can now hug you and say Liebste Mutter ;)

I agree with Nelba. I too don't like the word disabled. If anyone dared to call my little sister disabled I'll make him/her shawarma >:D'' Nyahahaha xD

My dear: your poem is very sweet. I am very happy you are sharing with us your feelings.

As I told Nergiz, I do not like the word disabled. People are born with different abilities. Your baby may not say Mummy but I am sure both of you have some other kind of communication different which do not include words. A special way of communication which is not developed by other people.

Besides, some children do not speak to absent parents. There is no communication in many families.
What do you think?

Love from Argentina, Nelba

Danke!

The poem is extremely touching.

I am so happy for you that he can say mummy now.

And even though there are many emotions he cannot express, I am sure his heart is full of love for you.

Best of luck with your wonderful son!

As a new daddy (my daughter Gaia was born three weeks ago) I can only say that the love a child can bring into your life fills your heart up like nothing else can.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem with us. it's very moving and gives me a pause to think about the important things in life in the middle of a mundane, but busy work day.

With much love,

Seth.
